Afghan National Security Forces and Coalition Forces conducted a Medical Assistance visit to Qandaro Village in Konar Province. Approximately 80 Villagers sought treatments for coughs and colds to more serious infections. The village is not connected to any main roads, making it inaccessible and villagers often go without treatment for minor injuries and illnesses.
An Afghan Soldier treats a small boy’s head sores. Minor cuts and scrapes often go untreated in the village and later develop into more serious conditions.
A girl’s family looks on as a Coalition Medic observes a little girl’s throat. The Medic explains to her father the necessity of regular check-ups to prevent her condition from worsening.
