Insurgent Suicide Bomber Kills Chief of Police and Dozens More.

Nahrij Sariaj, Helmand Province:
A suicide bomber believed to be targeting the local Chief of Police
detonated himself yesterday in a crowded area between two markets,
killing several dozen innocent civilians, Afghan National Policemen and
his target, the local Chief of Police. Over 50 policemen and civilians
were also injured in the blast. Coalition, Police and Afghan National
Army forces responded quickly, providing first aid and transporting
casualties to hospitals for treatment.
