Bagram, Afghanistan - Coalition Forces along with
Provincial Health Care Providers and Afghan National Army (ANA)
soldiers conducted a MEDCAP and provided Humanitarian Aid to refugees
located approximately 10KM from Bagram Airfield. The mission was a
success, as 550 Afghans received medical aid from their own local
health care providers, while the ANA provided support by controlling
patient flow and crowd control. Coalition forces assisted the ANA and
handed out humanitarian aid and relief products to the members of the
camp. The ANA and local health care providers demonstrated
responsiveness to the local refugees, which further legitimizes the
ability for both entities to serve the Afghan people on a large scale.
