Destined Company 2-503 Parachute Infantry Regiment, 173rd Airborne Brigade hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony for the Chowkay Girls High School in the Babur Village, Konar Province earlier this week. The ceremony was a huge success with the local population as the village elders took the opportunity to also engage their villagers about the importance of security and stability. The ceremony was followed by the distribution of much needed school supplies led by the Afghan National Army and Sub-Governor Shaheed. There was also a lunch that followed the event allowing the elders, Sub-Governor Shaheed and Coalition Forces the opportunity to speak on future projects.
